Brian Kendrick and Paul London Reviews

Paul London & Brian Kendrick One of the last good tag teams that the WWE had when their tag division was beginning it’s downward spiral was these guys. It was after London had a decent tag team run with Billy Kidman, leading to a rivalry between the two before Kidman was fired and when the WWE finally decided to ditch the whole crap that was Kendrick’s “Spanky” nickname. The two held on to the tag team titles for a solid year before they lost the belts to a team that looked like something the movie “Grease” puked up in Deuce & Domino. Then there was the draft which split up London and Kendrick that lead to London eventually being shown the door and though he had a brief singles run as “THE Brian Kendrick,” Kendrick followed suit months after he started that gimmick.

Mighty Man Millson II (Real name, Adam Jones) is a 25 year old Middleweight wrestler from Manchester, England. He was trained by his father, 'The Great' Ian Millson (Real name, James Jones), and fought in many local independent promotions, before getting the nod over several superb athletes to work for the GHW E-Fed. He was trained further by Jaggeroth once he reached GHW, as Jaggeroth thought he could make a World Champion out of Millson.

Mighty Millson, as he was first named, first set his mind on becoming a GHW superstar when his father was rejected for a GHW contract, and in rejection turned to drugs, serving a prison sentence for possession with intent to deal. This set up Millson for a GHW contract after serving in the Indy's of wrestling. After stunning fans worldwide with his superb athleticism and charisma, GHW couldn't say no to him, and he took the name Mighty Man Millson II after his dad. Before debuting, management showed a vignette of Millson telling his dad he had reached GHW, and the proud reaction his dad gave him, to give Millson some fan favoritism. However, before his debut, Millson attacked a jobber in the on-site pool, and attacked Charlie Coors, the GHW interviewer, in frustration after his dad had heaped on the praise of his son. Millson told the fans in a website interview that he had let anger get the better of him and apologized to the two men he had attacked, which clawed back some fans onto his side.
The next week, another vignette showed, claiming that Millson's mom had also committed suicide when he was a young child, and he had been raised alone, which gave the fans more sympathy to heap onto MMM II. However, in a legitimate encounter, Millson threatened another wrestler, Wreckingball, which made the management suspend Millson, and prolong his debut by a further two weeks. His eventual debut was against a man in a similar situation to his, Henry Cooper. He had lost his wife and little daughter in a car crash, and had been to prison for driving under the influence. Millson came out to the ring and told Cooper that he had the utmost respect for him, but as both men were on their debut, Millson hadn't scouted Cooper thoroughly, and Millson was rolled up for the loss.
After his loss to Henry Cooper, Cooper was promoted to the main card of GHW, and Millson had to remain in the dark matches. On telling his father this, Ian Millson disowned MMM II, and drove The Mighty One over the edge. The next week, Millson faced Anthony Andrews and claimed that the only reason he had lost to Cooper was because of Cooper's background which had threw Millson off guard, and he guaranteed a win over Andrews to get his dad back on his side. But when Andrews refused to show up, due to injury, Millson lost his patience and dragged AA from backstage and into the ring, locking in the Mighty Mutilation before the bell rang to start the match. When Andrews recovered, and had Millson in trouble, a man jumped from the crowd and passed Millson some brass knuckles, which he used to win his first GHW match.
After the match, Millson confirmed his heel turn by lambasting the fans and ordering the mystery man attack Anthony Andrews some more, which he did. The man was revealed to be Big Robertson Ryder, a 309 pound goliath from Guyana, and this day marked the formation of the Big Mighty Ltd Tag Team. Millson then faced Matt Jacobs, with Robertson Ryder at ringside for the first time, but Jacobs was scared away by Ryder before the match, and so Millson won the match by Count-Out, but had stopped caring how he won, just as long as he did. Big Mighty Ltd became a feared partnership and constantly made backstage jobbers intimidated, but also winning on debut as a Tag Team against the newly formed Tag Team of AJ Scally and Eddie Hall. This series of 3 wins in a row, and the fact that he was one of the most athletic superstars on the roster, earned Mighty Man Millson II a GHW Television shot in a 4-Way Ladder match at their PPV Red, White and Bruised against Logan Scott, Young Gangsta and Jason Murphy. Millson called out all three the night this was announced which garnered more heat from fans.

Laila Ali Hot Pics

You know, aside from that whole she can kick my ass ten ways to Sunday deal, Laila Ali, daughter of flamboyant pugilist Muhammed Ali, is kinda hot. I mean, from the right angles, and preferably without those boxing gloves on. Who wants their woman to be wearing boxing gloves all the time? Okay, so there are times when boxing gloves in the bedroom would be pretty cool, it’ll at least break the monotony, right? Then again, if only I can get over that whole she could probably kick my ass all over the house at anytime if I so much as make her mad thing that I can’t quite shake. Anyhoo, maybe it’s all academic, since last heard, Laila Ali had gotten hitched to some ex-NFL player. But a guy can dream, can’t he?

Laila “She Bee Stingin” Ali (5’10″, 166 lbs) made her ring debut against April Fowler of Michigan City, Indiana, on October 8, 1999 at the Turning Stone Casino Convention Center on the Oneida Indian Nation in Verona, New York.

Normally, a bout that pitted a novice with no amateur experience (Ali) against another (Fowler) who had been KO’d in the first round of her only previous pro fight wouldn’t rate mention beyond the local newspaper.

But the ring debut of 21-year old Laila, the second-youngest of Muhammad Ali’s nine children, attracted major media attention and journalists from around the world joined 3000 fans in upstate New York to cover it.

Muhammad Ali may be the most recognized and best known sports figure on Earth … instantly recognized on every continent and in every culture. His life story transcends boxing … and his ongoing struggle with faltering steps and shaking hands raises troubling questions about boxing’s safety. If any of his children had become a boxer, their career would be a “human interest” story of a high order. When one of his daughters chose to box, she became a new reason for the media spotlight to focus on women’s boxing.

By coincidence, Laila Ali’s ring debut occurred just one day before what was supposed to be the first male-female professional bout ever to be sanctioned by a US state boxing commission … later ruled, and better named, an exhibition.

There’s been something reaching media hysteria over the idea that a group of Red Knights led by Jim O’Neill, chief economist at Goldman Sachs, will sweep into Manchester in something akin to a boardroom coup and snatch the world’s most famous football club from the grasp of the Glazer family.

And create a healthy return on investment for the secretive US family firm in the process!

Suggested valuations on the club swing ever more wildly from week to week– the latest was at the weekend when a value of £1.25 billion was being mooted by The Sunday Times.

All this conjecture is the stuff of great sports journalism, but does it make good business sense?

There is a lot of discussion on the level of debt that the club is currently carrying and how this will be removed by the Red Knights.

But have these well-endowed individuals agreed on what the Man Utd brand is actually worth?

I doubt it.

How much of the £1.25 billion is for the intangibles that the Glazers own and how much of it is wrapped up in the tangibles like Old Trafford stadium?

The reason I raise this is because in essence the Red Knights will be expected to pay a premium price for the brand, rather than the computer system or quality of the dressing rooms at Old Trafford.

So brand valuation will be a key issue.

And it’s one area that traditionally accountants love to hate as there’s never been an agreed method of measuring this value with some clarity.

Which is why 1st April 2010 could be a turning point in the Man Utd saga as the International Organization for Standardisation (ISO) publishes the long-awaited standard on the thorny issue of brand valuation.

Aimed at both brand consultants and finance and marketing professionals, the general requirements of the new standard will include greater transparency of the process of brand valuation in deals like the one being contemplated by the Red Knights.
Sir Alex Ferguson is delighted to have presided over Manchester United's 18th league title - but number 19 is the one he really wants.
fter vowing to "knock Liverpool off their perch'' when he first headed south from Aberdeen in 1986, Ferguson is now just one league championship away from doing just that.

A goalless draw with Arsenal today was enough to ensure United completed a hat-trick of Premier League title triumphs.

Yet the champagne corks had not stopped popping in an ecstatic home dressing room when their notoriously driven manager delivered his ominous warning to Liverpool counterpart Rafael Benitez.

"The great challenge now is to try to win it next year because that would be something special,'' he said. "It would be a 19th league and give us a special place in the club's history.

Ramires Chelsea Photos

Chelsea’s midfield workhorse Michael Essien could be out until 2012 after he damaged knee ligaments in training on Thursday.

One man’s trash is another’s treasure I guess – and though Chelsea will certainly miss their combative and experienced central midfield general, this is an opportunity for the young Brazilian Ramires to step in and cement a position in the starting lineup.

Ramires took a very long time to acclimate to the Premier League last season and looked out of his depth his first six months or so at the club but turned it on a bit in the spring and with Essien out, could play a key role this season. The question for Fantasy Premier League managers remains however – will Ramires be attacking enough to be worthy of investment?

The jury is still out on new Chelsea manager Andres Villas-Boas’ preferred formation and starters, but if Ramires gets a look, he could be an interesting fantasy prospect this season.
He made a couple of really great runs yesterday in Brazil’s draw with Paraguay in Copa America- bustling forward from a defensive midfield area to an attacking area with speed and control, but has only scored twice in 23 appearances for his national team, so goals shouldn’t be expected. That said, Essien doesn’t score too often either – but has been a good fantasy contributor in the past with assists, bonus points, and clean sheets from a reasonably priced midfield position…
